We
have worked with Louise Cayetano for 3 years of the project. We started
in the 6th grade, moved to 5th grade, then back to 6th. An experienced
teacher, she has brought ideas and depth to the project. Fern has many
immigrant families that use English as their second language. We try to
create ties with the islands we visit during our team travels. Martha's
major project this year was to help the class make connections with pictures
and language. Martha invited Dr. Lori Phillips to show us how to draw
pictures with pastel crayons and write descriptive sentences about them.
We scanned the pictures and show some here for your enjoyment. |
