PRTEC Pacific Voices: Pacific Regional Technology and Education Consortium

Hello, Alii, Aloha, Hafa adai, Iakwe, Len wo, Mogethin, Ran annim, Talofa and Tirow!

Welcome to the PR*TEC Pacific Voices web site.  This is a place for Pacific Island educators to explore strategies to integrate technology into island classrooms, including technology supports for language arts and literacy, cultural studies, mathematics, science, early learning and special education.

The PR*TEC Pacific Voices Project celebrates the beauty and diversity of teachers, children and families of the Pacific, by sharing cultural packages and thematic units that are supported and enhanced by educational technologies - including multimedia, video and telecommunications.

The Pacific Voices community includes teachers, parents, administrators, curriculum developers and teacher educators from the states of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia, the islands of Majuro and Ebeye in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Republic of Palau, the island of Saipan in the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands, the Territories of American Samoa and Guam, and the islands of Oahu, Kauai and Hawai`i in the State of Hawai`i.

The links on the side and the bottom will lead you to examples of projects by our community and the curriculum we developed. Come explore and share with us the beauty and knowledge of our Pacific.
